Asian stocks extended gains on Friday after the Dow Jones industrial average scored its biggest two-day percentage increase since 2008 overnight and the other two major U.S. averages racked up their biggest two-day gains since 2009 in response to upbeat U.S. GDP data, showing the world’s largest economy grew by 3.7 percent in the second quarter compared to the previously reported 2.3 percent growth. Economists had expected 3.2 percent growth.
