Canadian retail sales data for February
– was +2.2% m/m (revised to +2.3%)
– Ex-autos -0.1% vs -0.3% exp
– Prior ex-autos +1.7% (revised to +2.3%)
– Sales were down in 5 of 11 subsectors
With the upward revision to the prior on the ex-autos line, it’s quite a bit stronger than expected and enough to make the report winner.
