The Canadian dollar strengthened against the other major currencies in the Asian session on Monday.

The Canadian dollar rose to 1.2148 against the U.S. dollar, from an early 4-day low of 1.2188.

Moving away from early 5-day lows of 97.46 against the yen and 0.9539 against the Australian dollar, the loonie rose to 97.86 and 0.9508, respectively. At Friday’s close, the loonie was trading at 97.58 against the yen and 0.9524 against the aussie.

Against the euro, the loonie edged up to 1.3197 from last week’s closing value of 1.3239.

If the Loonie extends its uptrend, it is likely to find resistance around 1.20 against the greenback, 1.30 against the euro, 99.00 against the yen and 0.93 against the aussie.
