China activity data for April remained weak, suggesting that economic momentum has slowed further going into Q2. However, policymakers have already stepped up support and more measures likely to come over coming quarters. For May, recent policy support should have helped to shore up activity and so we think the flash manufacturing PMI (02.45 BST) could show a reading of 49.3, up from 48.9 last month. – said Capital Economics
