Crude oil prices tumbled Friday as stronger dollar and global supply glut weighed on energy prices.

Geopolitical tensions have failed to give oil prices much of a lift.

U.S. WTI crude oil for January was down 3.2 percent to $41.71 a barrel.

The economic calendar was virtually empty today, the day after Thanksgiving.
