Crude oil prices continued to fall Tuesday, hitting their lowest since August on indications that OPEC nations are fighting their own price war.

Some members of the cartel are said to be undercutting Saudi Arabia amid fierce competition to sell crude oil in Asia, according to reports.

U.S. WTI crude oil slipped 60 cents to $43.38 a barrel, extending steep recent losses.

A 2-day FOMC meeting starts later in the day, although a decision is not expected until Wednesday.
