Czech economic confidence improved further in December to the strongest level in six months, survey results from the Czech Statistical Office showed Monday.
The economic confidence index rose to 11.7 in December from 11.1 in the previous month. In October, the reading was 10.0.
The latest score was the highest since June this year, when it marked 12.1.
The business confidence indicator also increased slightly to 13.3 in December from 13.1 in November.
The index measuring consumer confidence strengthened for the third straight month in December, rising to 5.0 from 3.0 a month earlier.
The confidence indicator for the services sector improved marginally by 1.0 percent, while the morale for industry showed no variations. At the same, the confidence index for construction and trade decreased during December.
