Dana Dane emerged on the scene during The Golden Era of Hip Hop, solidifying his career as a rapper with his classic debut album the RIAA-certified goldDana Dane with Fame” in 1987. The Brooklyn-native, with his diverse style, has also rapped in tandem with Slick Rick in a group they called the Kango Crew. In his signature Kangol cap and Bally shoes, Dana singlehandedly brought awareness to luxury brands during one of the most innovative epochs in the genre.

“I have always mixed high-end fashion with thrifty attire to create what I call my GQ B-Boy fashion sense,” Dana added.

Dana, a recognizable voice for six years on Sirius XMs Backspin, has continued to stay fresh in the entertainment business with his creativity and flexibility. The newest business venture carrying Dana Dane into the new millennium includes Def Beat Entertainment, launched in 2003 as a multi-media company specializing in publishing, screenwriting, film producing and of course, music.
