Following the release of the U.S. new home sales data for June at 10:00 am ET Friday, the greenback edged down against the other major currencies.
The greenback was trading at 123.87 against the yen, 0.9604 against the franc, 1.0962 against the euro and 1.5496 against the pound around 10:02 am ET.
