After the release of U.S. weekly jobless claims for the week ended October 24 and advance GDP data for the third quarter at 8:30 am ET Thursday, the greenback edged down against its major rivals.
The greenback was trading at 1.0965 against the euro, 120.82 against the yen, 1.5264 against the pound and 0.9904 against the franc around 8:33 am ET.
