The U.S. dollar extended its early rally against the Swiss franc and the pound in European trading on Friday.

The greenback firmed to 1.0224 against the franc, its highest since December 3. The pair ended Thursday’s trading at 1.0136.

Reversing from an early 2-week low of 1.4413 against the pound, the greenback advanced to 1.4280.

The greenback may find resistance around 1.05 against the franc and 1.40 versus the pound.
