The U.S. house price index and the S&P/Case-Shiller home price index for November are due at 9:00 am ET Tuesday. Ahead of these reports, the greenback traded mixed against its major rivals. While the greenback declined against the pound, it was higher against the rest of major rivals.
The greenback was worth 1.0832 against the euro, 118.50 against the yen, 1.4251 against the pound and 1.0168 against the franc as of 8:55 am ET.
