The second estimate of the U.S. GDP data for the second quarter and weekly jobless claims for the week ended August 22 are due at 8:30 am ET Thursday. Before these reports, the greenback traded mixed against its major rivals.
While the greenback rose against the pound and the franc, it held steady against the yen and the euro.
The greenback was worth 1.1282 against the euro, 1.5441 against the pound, 120.19 against the yen and 0.9547 against the franc as of 8:25 am ET.
