Donald Trump, Ted Cruz and John Kasich Should “Drop Out”

Donald Trump said Wednesday morning he heard that rivals Ted Cruz and John Kasich planned a news conference after their losses to announce that they had dropped out of the Presidential race, but canceled it.

“They should have dropped out,” Donald Trump said in an interview. “I heard they were having a news conference last night to drop out of the race and they canceled the news conference.

“They have to play their game. John is now 1 for 47 and Ted Cruz is a disaster. I guess I’m 3.5-M votes up on him. It’s crazy. It’s a crazy thing. No highway. It is over.”

Donald Trump, coming off a sweep of all 5 states in Tuesday’s elections, predicted that he will do well in upcoming states, including California and Indiana, and that he will “get there very easily” when it comes to locking down the 1,237 delegates he needs to clinch the GOP Presidential nomination.

“We had a great victory and far more than we thought,” Donald Trump said on a network TV program. “Now we’re up to close to 1,000, and we have a long way to go.”

He said that he’s now on his way to Indiana, where famed former Indiana University coach Bobby Knight, who Mr. Trump Wednesday called “the most revered coach in the history, I guess of Indiana” will announce his endorsement.

According to The Indianapolis Star, the announcement will come during a rally at the Indianapolis State Fairgrounds, where the front-runner drew thousands last week in another rally.

Gov. Mike Pence, who Donald Trump called a “great guy” may not endorse anyone, but if he does, he doubts it will be Ted Cruz.

“I don’t think he’ll endorse anybody, actually, and he may endorse us,” he told.

Donald Trump continued with his “Lying Ted” complaints about Senator Cruz, saying he had said he could not win all 5 states.

“He can lie better than any human being I’ve ever seen, but ultimately he’s not successful,” said Mr. Trump. “I’ve actually never seen anything quite like it. We had a great victory and far more than we thought.”

Donald Trump held a speech on foreign policy Wednesday afternoon that dealt with the economics of foreign policy because we are getting killed on economics. I’m an economic person. One of my strengths, maybe a big strength.

But, he told the former communications director for George W. Bush (43) that there were “a lot of very good experts” involved in the speech, and he’l name them today, but many of them are not the people who have been involved “for a long time with the strategy of our war plan.”

“A lot of people that I’ve looked at have great names and they have been involved with nothing but failure,” said Mr. Trump. “I will tell you that there are some that I just couldn’t take it anymore, when they were giving me their credentials.”

That’s because “we need new thinking,” said Mr. Trump. “We need a lot better thinking. This is ridiculous. What’s been going on for so many years is ridiculous. Whether we like it or not, there are people out there that haven’t had a claim, but I like their ideas better. We had conversations with both.”
