Dutch producer confidence decreased in July, after improving in the previous three months, figures from the Central Bureau of Statistics showed Monday.
The producer confidence index fell to 3.7 in July from 4.6 in June. In May, the reading 4.1. The index dropped for the first time in four months.
However, the confidence of the industrial producers is still above the average of the last twenty years, the agency said.
In July, manufacturers were less positive about their production in the next three months. The corresponding index declined to 5.4 from 7.8 in the preceding month.
The assessment of order book position also worsened in July, with the index falling slightly to 4.2 from 4.7 in June.
