Following the release of Eurozone economic confidence survey for August at 5:00 am ET Friday, the euro showed mixed trading against its major counterparts.
While the euro rose against the pound, it changed little against the rest of major currencies.
The euro was trading at 1.1293 against the greenback, 1.0858 against the franc, 136.33 against the yen and 0.7346 against the pound around 5:03 am ET.
