The euro strengthened against the Swiss franc and the pound in the early European session on Thursday.
The euro rose to a 6-day high of 1.0862 against the Swiss franc, from an early low of 1.0839.
Against the pound, the euro edged up to 0.7044 from an early low of 0.7015.
If the euro extends its uptrend, it is likely to find resistance around 1.09 against the franc and 0.71 against the pound.
