The eurocoin indicator, which measures the current economic situation in the euro area, dropped for the second straight month in October after a long series of increases, the Bank of Italy and the Centre for Economic Policy Research said in a survey report on Friday.
The eurocoin indicator fell slightly to 0.36 in October from 0.39 in the previous month. In August, the reading was 0.43.
The decline in the indicator mainly reflected weak price developments, with the other components remaining essentially stable, the think tank said.
