F1: Lewis Hamilton Wins The 2015 Japanese Grand Prix
AMG Mercedes Benz Team driver Lewis Hamilton won the 2015 Japanese Grand Prix Sunday, he is closes in on a 3rd world title with his team mate Nico Rosberg finishing 2nd.
Mr. Hamilton extended his lead at the top of the standings by 7 pts with 5 races remaining, and he is now level with Ayrton Senna on 41 career F1 race wins.
Mr. Rosberg beat Mr. Hamilton to the Pole Saturday, but the Mr. Hamilton beat him to the 1st corner, and from that point on is was to be just one outcome.
Mr. Hamilton increased his lead at the top with each lap, while a high engine temperature forced Mr. Rosberg to ease his pursuit.
At the front, Mr. Hamilton stretched his lead to over 13 secs by Lap 31, and Mercedes finally achieved their desired 1-2 as Ferrari’s Sebastian Vettel pit stop handed his compatriot 2nd place.
From there, the 3, Hamilton, Rosberg and Vettel, were unchallenged as they drove to the Chequered Flag with ease, each well ahead of the preceding driver.
Mr. Hamilton now has 277 pts, a 48-pt lead over his team mate. With driver and car operating at peak performance, only a big misfortune can stop him from wining the world driving championship now.
