Finland’s producer prices declined at a slower pace in November, Statistics Finland reported Wednesday.

Producer prices dropped 3 percent year-on-year in November, slower than October’s 3.2 percent decline. Producer prices have been falling since August 2013.

The fall in the producer prices for manufactured products was particularly caused by reductions in the prices of oil products and manufacturing of basic metals.

Producer prices for manufactured products sold on the domestic market and the producer prices of export products went down by 3 percent each.

On a monthly basis, producer prices fell 0.3 percent mainly due to lower prices of manufacturing of basic metals.

The export price index fell 0.4 percent from October and by 2.9 percent from last year. At the same time, the import price index slid 0.5 percent on month and decreased 6.6 percent from a year earlier.
