At 3:00 am ET Wednesday, Swiss KOF leading index is due. The reading is expected to rise to 98.9 in December from 97.9 in November.
Ahead of the data, the franc dropped against its major rivals.
The franc was trading at 0.9894 against the greenback, 1.0817 against the euro, 122.25 against the yen and 1.4697 against the pound as of 2:55 am ET.
