FXStreet (Mumbai) – The European Central Bank (ECB) member Edwald Nowotny was on wires stating that Greece is unlikely to make IMF loan repayment tomorrow, but said that would not amount to a default.

Nowotny added that the situation in Greece is very dramatic and expressed hope that a referendum would lead to a “sensible situation”.

Meanwhile, EU commissioner Oettinger said that Greece remaining in the Eurozone is “more than questionable” while Austrian fin min Schelling said “Grexit will be avoided”.
