The Indian rupee firmed against the U.S. dollar in evening deals on Thursday, as the later fell across the board on profit-taking.

The rupee climbed to 66.05 against the greenback, its strongest since November 20. At yesterday’s close, the pair was worth 66.15. The rupee is likely to resistance around the 65.00 region.
