Italy’s industrial orders declined in January after recovering in December, the statistical office Istat showed Friday.

Industrial orders fell 3.6 percent in January from last month, when it rose 4.5 percent. The decline was driven by a 9 percent fall in non-domestic market. At the same time, domestic orders gained 0.7 percent.

On a yearly basis, industrial orders slipped 5.5 percent, reversing December’s 5.8 percent increase.

At the same time, industrial turnover fell 1.6 percent on a monthly basis as domestic turnover slid 0.9 percent and non-domestic turnover by 3.1 percent. Year-on-year, overall turnover fell 2.5 percent in January.
