Italy’s industrial orders expanded at the fastest pace in six months in October, the statistical office Istat showed Tuesday.

Industrial orders climbed 4.6 percent from September, when it fell 2.1 percent. This was the fastest growth since April, when it rose 10.1 percent.

Demand from domestic market and that from foreign markets moved up 3.6 percent and 6 percent, respectively.

At the same time, industrial sales recovered in October, up 2 percent as foreign turnover rebounded from September. Domestic turnover climbed 1.4 percent and foreign turnover gained 3.1 percent.

On a yearly basis, industrial turnover grew 1.6 percent after easing 0.9 percent in September. Domestic and foreign turnover advanced 1.3 percent and 2.4 percent, respectively.
