Canada trade data for February is due at 8:30 am ET Thursday. The loonie fell against the euro, yen and the greenback but rose against the aussie before the data.
The loonie was worth 1.3688 against the euro, 0.9545 against the aussie, 94.70 against the yen and 1.2634 against the greenback as of 8:25 am ET.
