Malaysia’s producer prices continued to decline in February, and at a faster pace than in the prior month, figures from the Department of Statistics showed Thursday.

The producer price index fell 4.8 percent year-over-year in February, following a 4.4 percent decrease in January.

Ming index dipped the most by 27.8 percent annually in February, followed by electricity and gas with 4.2 percent drop.

At the same time, the index for water supply and Agriculture, forestry & fishing showed an increase of 8.8 percent and 4.2 percent, respectively.

On a monthly basis, producer prices edged up 0.1 percent in February, reversing a 1.4 percent fall in the preceding month.
