The Malaysian ringgit strengthened against the U.S. dollar in the late Asian session on Friday, as oil prices rose.

Against the greenback, the ringgit rose to more than a 3-month high of 4.1085 from an early low of 4.1740. At yesterday’s close, the ringgit was trading at 4.1530 against the greenback.

If the ringgit extends its uptrend, it is likely to find resistance around the 4.08 area.
