New Zealand’s money supply growth eased for the second straight month in August, figures from the Reserve Bank of New Zealand showed Wednesday.

The broad money supply, or M3, grew 9.0 percent year-over-year to NZ$298.75 billion in July. This follows a 9.3 percent hike in July.

In the corresponding month of the preceding year, money supply had risen 5.3 percent.

The intermediate money supply, or M2, increased at a faster pace of 16.1 percent annually in August, following a 14.9 percent climb in July.
