The British pound strengthened against the U.S. dollar and the yen in the European session on Wednesday.
Against the U.S. dollar and the yen, the pound rose to 6-day highs of 1.5637 and 193.25 from early lows of 1.5587 and 192.55, respectively.
If the pound extends its uptrend, it is likely to find resistance around 1.57 against the greenback and 194.00 against the yen.
