South Korea’s consumer confidence held steady in June after rising in the previous two months, survey data from the Bank of Korea showed Monday.

The consumer confidence index came in at 99.0 in June, the same reading as in the previous month. In April, the score was 101.0.

Consumer sentiment on current living standard remained unchanged at 91.0 in June. Similarly, their future outlook was remained stable at 96.0.

At the same time, the index measuring current domestic economic conditions dropped by 2 points to 68 in June. Likewise, their outlook worsened to 78 from 80.

The expectation for inflation over the following year was 2.4 percent. The survey was conducted among 2,200 households between June 14 and 21
