Risky bets are staging a recovery, with the pound, oil and risk currencies gaining ground, while gold is losing its luster. After Asian stocks closed mixed, the major European markets are advancing notably. The domestic markets have also to contend with economic data on revised GDP, house prices and consumer confidence.
