Slovakia’s consumer confidence improved in April, after falling slightly in the previous month, survey data from the Statistical Office of the Slovak Republic showed Tuesday.

The consumer confidence index rose to -7.3 in April from -8.6 in March. In February, the reading was -8.3.

The economic sentiment also strengthened in April, with the corresponding index rising to 101.6 from 101.2. In February, the score was 101.7.

Among sub-indices, the index reflecting the expectations on the financial situation of households rose to -2.3 in April from -3.3 in March.

Likewise, the index measuring the expectations on the general financial situation of the country improved notably to -4.1 in April from -8.4 in the prior month.
