Slovakia’s harmonized consumer prices declined for the tenth consecutive month in September, the Statistical Office of the Slovak Republic showed Friday.

Harmonized consumer prices dropped 0.5 percent from last year, faster than the 0.2 percent fall seen in August. Prices have been falling since December 2014.

Month-on-month, harmonized consumer prices dropped 0.2 percent each in September and August.

The annual decline was largely driven by a 7.4 percent drop in cost of transport and a 2.1 percent decrease in housing and utility prices.
