Slovenia’s retail sales declined in March from a year ago, preliminary figures from the Statistical Office of the Republic of Slovenia showed Wednesday.
Retail sales volume fell 1.8 percent year-over-year in March. Sales, excluding automotive fuel, dropped 1.2 percent.Sales of food beverages and tobacco decreased 1.7 percent and that for non-food products dipped by 1.4 percent.
On a monthly basis, retail sales slid 2.8 percent in March.
In the first quarter of this year, total retail sales grew 0.2 percent compared with the same period last year.
