Spain’s economic growth held steady in the fourth quarter, data from the statistical office INE showed Friday.

Gross domestic product grew 0.8 percent sequentially as seen in the third quarter and matched expectations.

Year-on-year, economic growth improved to 3.5 percent, as expected, from 3.4 percent in the prior quarter.

In 2015 as a whole, the economy expanded 3.2 percent.

Earlier, the Bank of Spain projected an average GDP growth of 3.2 percent for 2015 and 2.8 percent this year.
