One day after vowing to launch a “major investigation into VOTER FRAUD,” the White House has announced that Trump will sign a directive later this afternoon officially launching the effort to uncover signs of illegal voting.

Speaking to reporters aboard Air Force One, according to The Hill, White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer said that the investigation “will be a follow-up on the announcement yesterday to better understand voter fraud.”

Of course, the directive comes just days after Trump made comments in a private meeting that mass voter fraud, to the tune of 3-5 million illegal votes, cost him the popular vote tally against Hillary Clinton.

Predictably, the comments caused many mainstream media anchors, including CNN’s Jake Tapper, to have yet another nervous breakdown.
