The U.K. economic growth slowed as estimated in the third quarter, second estimates published by the Office for National Statistics showed Friday.

Gross domestic product climbed 0.5 percent from prior quarter, unrevised from the prior estimate released on October 27. This was the eleventh consecutive quarters of positive growth. In the second quarter, the economy had expanded 0.7 percent.

On a yearly basis, GDP rose 2.3 percent, in line with preliminary estimate.

Among main output industrial groupings, production output gained 0.2 percent, which was revised down from 0.3 percent.

Construction output decreased by 2.2 percent, while services industries expanded 0.7 percent. Both construction and services output figures were left unrevised.

Another report from ONS showed that the Index of Services increased by 2.7 percent in September from last year. Month-on-month, it climbed 0.4 percent after staying flat in August.
