FXStreet (Mumbai) – As per the Commodity Futures Trading Commission data, the overall bullish bets in WTI oil futures rose last week for a second consecutive week.

Non-commercial positions

The non-commercial contracts of crude oil futures witnessed a weekly change of +300 contracts to total a net position of +327,433 contracts in the data reported for June 23rd. Long positions in oil futures fell by -4,931 contracts, while the short positions dropped by -5,231 contracts.

Commercial positions

Meanwhile, commercials (hedgers or traders) increased bearish positions for a second week to a net total position of -334,959 contracts through June 23rd.

As per the Commodity Futures Trading Commission data, the overall bullish bets in WTI oil futures rose last week for a second consecutive week.
