Japan housing starts data for September was released at 1:00 am ET Friday.
After the data, the yen changed little against its major rivals.
As of 1:01 am ET, the yen was trading at 133.20 against the euro, 185.80 against the pound, 121.34 against the U.S. dollar and 122.54 against the Swiss franc.
