Export prices in Australia were down 4.4 percent on quarter in the second quarter of 2015, the Australian Bureau of Statistics said on Thursday.
That missed forecasts for a fall of 4.0 percent following the 0.8 percent decline in the first quarter.
Import prices gained 1.4 percent on quarter versus expectations for a gain of 1.5 percent following the 0.2 percent decline in the previous three months.
On a yearly basis, export prices dropped 8.9 percent and import prices added 1.3 percent.
