The manufacturing sector in Australia continued to expand in June, and at an accelerated pace, the latest survey from the Australian Industry Group revealed on Friday with a Performance of Manufacturing Index score of 51.8.
That’s up from 51.0 in May, and it moves further above the boom-or-bust line of 50 that separates expansion from contraction.
It’s also the 12th straight month on expansion.
Individually, new orders and selling prices expanded in June, while wage growth slowed.
