Donald Trump ‘Tweets” On Dr. Carson’s Fabricated Remembrances

GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump weighed in Thursday on Dr. Ben Carson’s story about trying to stab a close relative when he was 14 because of his childhood anger.

Donald Trump said on Twitter:

CNN reported Thursday that it had found 8 of Ben Carson’s childhood friends, all of whom said they did not know of him to have the anger issues that he has described.

One said he had a vague memory of the story of the attempted stabbing, but thought that it was just a “story.”

Dr. Carson attacked the CNN report, telling Megyn Kelly on Fox News: “Those claims are absolutely true. This is simply an attempt to smear and to deflect the argument to something else.”

The retired pediatric neurosurgeon told Ms. Kelly that he had talked to the relative, and that the individual did not want to be identified.

Later, Dr. Carson’s campaign admitted that he fabricated a Key part of his life story in his best-selling memoir, Gifted Hands.

In the Y 1996 book, Dr. Carson boasts of a Y 1969 meeting with Gen. William Westmoreland, who commanded American troops in Vietnam, after which Dr. Carson wrote he was offered a “full scholarship” to the West Point military academy. Everyone that attends West Point does so on a ‘full scholarship.”

Dr. Carson campaign manager Barry Bennett commented on the issue conceding that Ben Carson never applied applied to West Point.

Dr. Carson commenting on Fox News Thursday night, “This is a bunch of lies attempting to say I’m lying about my history, I think it’s pathetic, and basically what the media does is they try to get you distracted.”

This stuff should let all of the air out of Dr. Carson’s campaign for the White House.

Trumpeting for Trump.
