Dutch consumer price inflation accelerated marginally in October after falling in the previous month, figures from the Central Bureau of Statistics showed Thursday.

The consumer price index rose 0.7 percent year-over-year in October, slightly faster than September’s 0.6 percent increase.

Inflation rose mainly due to the price development of gas and airline tickets, the agency said.

Inflation, excluding energy, food, alcohol and tobacco, climbed to 1.4 percent in October from 1.3 percent in the prior month.

The EU Measure of inflation, or HICP, also increased at a faster pace of 0.4 percent annually in October, following a 0.3 percent rise in the prior month.
