The euro continued to be stronger against some major currencies in the European session on Friday.
The euro rose to a 1-week high of 136.77 against the yen, from an early low of 133.79.
Against the U.S. and the Canadian dollars, the euro advanced to nearly a 2-week high of 1.1179 and a 5-month high of 1.4192 from early lows of 1.1028 and 1.4009, respectively.
Moving away from an early near 2-week low of 1.6342 against the NZ dollar, the euro appreciated to a 2-day high of 1.6528.
The euro edged up to 1.4962 against the Australian dollar, from an early low of 1.4797.
If the euro extends its uptrend, it is likely to find resistance around 141.00 against the yen, 1.15 against the greenback, 1.45 against the loonie, 1.51 against the aussie and 1.68 against the kiwi.
