FXStreet (Córdoba) – GBP/USD reversed most of its early gains and settled in a narrow range over the last hours, amid limited price action given the Martin Luther King Holiday.

GBP/USD bounced from fresh 5 ½-year lows and reached a daily high of 1.4322 during the European session, but failed to maintain intraday gains and dropped more than half a cent toward the 1.4265 zone. At time of writing, the pair is trading at 1.4270, 0.16% above its opening price.

The pound has been under broad pressure, having lost almost 10 cents against the greenback over the last month amid concerns of a slower recovery in the UK and uncertainty surrounding a possible Brexit.
