Sweden’s producer prices decreased for the sixth consecutive month in December, figures from Statistics Sweden showed Tuesday.

The producer price index fell at a faster pace of 1.9 percent year-over-year in December, following a 1.5 percent drop in the previous month.

Import prices slid 2.5 percent annually in December and domestic market sales declined by 1.9 percent. Similarly, export prices dipped 1.9 percent, mainly due to lower prices for metals.

Prices for domestic supply, combining domestic and import markets dropped by 2.2 percent.

On a monthly basis, producer prices slipped 0.7 percent in December, which was worse than the 0.1 percent slight fall in November. It was the fourth month of decline in a row. Both import and export market prices decreased by 1.2 percent and 1.5 percent, respectively.
