Ferrari (NYSE:RACE) CEO Planning To Retire

$RACE, $FCAU

Ferrari NV (NYSE:RACE) CEO Amedeo Felisa, 69 anni,  is planning to retire following this week’s nomination of a new Board of Directors.

Expect Mr. Felisa to remain a board member and keep another role at Ferrari.

Fiat Chrysler (NYSE:FCAU) CEO Sergio Marchionne, 63 anni, Chairman of Ferrari, will probably take over in the interim as CEO at the Supercar maker following Mr. Felisa’s retirement.

The decision has not been finalized, and the plans could change.

Ferrari representatives declined to comment.

Mr. Marchionne orchestrated Ferrari’s spinoff from Fiat Chrysler last year. He replaced Luca Cordero di Montezemolo, who stepped down after more than 20 years at the wheel of Ferrari.

Mr. Felisa ran product development at Fiat Chrysler’s Alfa Romeo division before joining Ferrari, he was one of Mr. Montezemolo’s closest aides.

Ferrari shareholders will meet on Friday, 15  April in Amsterdam. Ferrari is legally registered in the Netherlands, as are Fiat Chrysler and CNH Industrial, which hold their annual shareholder meetings same day and same place.
