Gold Coast Beauty Queen Bidding to be Crowned Face of the Globe Australia

Teenager Ivy Heffernan has made it through to the Queensland State Finals of the beauty pageant – and will now be bidding in the hope of landing a place in the final.

15-year-old Ivy, from the Gold Coast, landed her place after the seal of approval from judges.

She said: “To be in the Queensland State Finals is a huge shock.

“I was not confident at all to enter but my family and friends pushed me to go for it.

Ivy went forward to the online photographic competition on the Face of the Globe website and competed against contestants from across Queensland before being selected for the Queensland State Finals.

Ivy is now looking for the support of her local community to help her raise charity funds for the Rainbow Child Foundation and her profile in the lead up to the semi final which takes place in Queensland in September. This also provides the local business community a perfect way to build customer awareness and loyalty.

She is now hoping to reach the finals by being voted one of the top girls in the Face of the Globe Australia finals.

The 2016 International Final will be held at Disney’s ‘Hotel New York’ in Disneyland Paris. This hotel is even more central to the park than ever before and is one of the highest rated hotels in the Disneyland resort, with a 1940’s New York City theme throughout. We are also the first pageant ever to be held in the hotel .

Staying in a Disney hotel, especially the New York, means our winners are just a few steps from the Disney Village and have exclusive ‘Magic Hours’ in the main parks, allowing them early entry to the resort up to 2 hours before the general public. The New York also has the biggest swimming pool in the whole resort.

The 2016 World Finals will be held between the 2nd-9th of April, across the UK and Disneyland Paris, with the crowning to be held inside the Grand Ballroom of Disney’s Hotel New York.

Face Of The Globe Grand Final supports Rainbow Child Foundation, with 90% of all funds raised by our finalists donated to the cause, and the remaining 10% donated to the charity of our highest fundraisers choice.

“The competition is about being beautiful inside and out, we are not just looking for a pretty face,” Lucie Hide, a former international beauty queen from England
