Ireland’s jobless rate dropped for the third straight month in March, figures from the Central Statistics Office showed Wednesday.

The seasonally adjusted standardised unemployment rate fell slightly to 10.0 percent in March from 10.1 percent in the previous month. In January, the rate was 10.3 percent.

A year ago, the jobless rate was 11.9 percent.

On a seasonally adjusted basis, the live register total decreased to 350,600 in March from 355,300 in February.

On an unadjusted basis, the live register total figure was 348,700, which was 6,400 lower than from the preceding month.
